Melanie, I loved your web site. You need to give me some tips. I liked the way you created the different blogs on the class news page. I especially like the way you used different blog templates so you don't really even realize they are blogs. If your announcements and class happenings go to the same page, then I would only have one link. (possible highlight and and make it one). Your school's song is very cute. I also really liked your about me page, especially that it had some fun facts and included your teaching philosophy. Where did you get the Dr. Seuss quote and image? Can I use it too? You probably already know that your Mexico link doesn't work, but besides that..excellent job! -Rosemary : )
Hi Melanie! I really enjoyed looking at your website. You have done a lot to develop it. I loved your bio page. It is so easy to read. Your blogs are great too. You will have to show me how you did them. I love the template you chose. I noticed that your search engine link did not work. Overall, your site is awesome! See you tomorrow!
Kids will love your website name! The Dr. Seuss clip art is AWESOME and I am sure the parents will appreciate the way you have provided them with resources such as the English to Spanish link. Is there any way to create or move white space under the words search engine o the Parents page-it sort of blends in and is hard to read. Great works in progrss!
Okay, Mellie. Let me start by saying, if I had a child who would be going to Kindergarten, I would want you as their teacher. :) The amount of effort you have given this project is very evident. One might say it shows your "knowledge" and "expertise." Okay, I'll stop. Here are my suggestions: 1) On the first page, there is a lot going on in regards to the varrious fonts used. I, personally, think it would be more eye pleaseing to have the Reece's Pieces and the Welcome Bulldogs in the font you have used but then change the rest to the same font. 2) On your contact page, your picture didn't load on my computer. It's probably my computer, but it may be worth checking into. 3) On the Kids' Links page, your second link isn't working. 4) I LOVE THE LEARNNC link. I think I told you that already in class. 5) The idea of your class singing the school song brings a tear to my eye. That is adorable. I can't wait to visit your page again after the start of the year and hear those angelic voices! 6) That was a great idea to include your personal teaching philosophy on the website! (EllaMiddle would love you!!!) 7) On the search engine link to EBSCO, it prompts the user for a User Id and Password. I don't know why. Perhaps you have that already planned out. and finally,,, 8)I love your optomism by including your Master's Degree from Elon on your site. I thought about it but after our experience at the Registar's office, I don't want to jinx anything! :) Excellent site!
